Today's youth have a special language that we as parents need to really learn. That is the Language of ICT. For us to be able to understand them, get closer to them, building bridges between us, we really need to make some effort in learning their language.
It is a fact that today, the language of computers, internet and mobiles have become the common one. That is why we as parents, we need to get equiped, trying to learn the language of our siblings, in order to be able to continue doing our role as parents in guiding and protecting them.
So, I encourage you - as well as myself - to learn this language of Communications and Internet, please feel free to share your views with us, that is why we are here for !

I think thois site is informative and helpful, after recently learning that my daughter had a grindtv.com account and going on there to see it was very sexual in nature and she only thirteen, being approuched by eighteen year olds. I felt that I wanted to tell parents about this site.my husband and I never knew this even existed.they have an instant message type thing on it and it store all they converstations right on it. Guys on it asked her is she used drugs, told her what it was like to use drugs. This site like most site were intened to be a forum for kids and people to meet and has become a nasty vile breeding ground for danger.so if u haven't heard of that one add it to ur check list.
Learning the language isn't really the biggest issue now days. I think it's time spent on-line. There's various teen video chat sites now where kids can get up to all kinds of trouble. Internet being allowed on while parents sleep etc. is a definite no no in my opinion. Also, allowing wireless for your kids to take laptops to the rooms. It only takes 2 seconds of 'flashing' private parts for that to be posted on some website and your kids life destroyed through blackmail and exposure. The chat rooms are full of old people throwing compliments at kids while they're on webcam.. The children are less likely to do anything if their parents are sitting across the room.
